Bhagsunag falls ,Macleodganj, Dharamsala


Bhagsu Falls is a small yet beautiful waterfall located 2km away from Mcleodganj. Around 0.5 km from the waterfall stands the Bhagsunath temple.  Further, about 1.5 km a path leads to waterfall, which is at its pristine glory during monsoon. The view of unsullied water gushing out of the water fall and the mist emanating from the fall about 20 feet is indeed a delighting experience.   You Can Take A Dip In The Chilly Water Of Fall .  This waterfall is located on the main road connecting McLeodganj and Dharamshala. It is around 11 km from Dharamshala and directly connected with Gaggal Airport and Pathankot Railway Station by roadways.


Bhagsunag Temple is situated around 2 km from McLeodganj Bazaar.

During monsoons, the place is subject to heavy rains and snow is winter. It is a good idea to avoid visiting during mid-winter. During monsoons, this waterfall turns into a 30 ft cascade besides a mountain that looks like an art piece made out of slate. This occurrence is due to the rich deposits of slate in the surroundings.


It is a place where one can enjoy and relax in the soothing environment of the miraculous Himalayas.

A day's trip to Satakosia Wildlife Sanctuary, Tikarpada,Odisha

                                    
        Satkosia-Gorge-Sanctuary is located in the districts of Nayagarh, Angul and Boudh in the state of Odisha. Satkosia-Gorge-Sanctuary is best visited during the months of October to June, when the weather is pleasant and favourable for exploring the sanctuary. The approximate distance between from Bhubanesar is 153km.

Tikarpada is  a small village in the Anugl district of Orissa that commands a stunning view of the surrounding rugged terrain, offers a spectacular view of Mahanadi River as it cuts through the densely forested Eastern Ghats with sheer force and raw power. Tikarapada also serves as a convenient base for a  Gharial Research and Conservation Centre  established at Tikarpada in 1975 to save the small population of these reptiles . Satkosia can be reached either from Angul or from the Athagarh side.


                Satkosia wildlife sanctuary  Situated on the bank of Mahanadi,  is a place that feeds to the imagination of any nature loving tourist. The forest situated amidst the 22 km long gorge which the  river Mahanadi forms hosts a biodiversity that is rich and unique .The name Satakosia originates from two words, sat means seven and kosa means two miles which is 14miles or 22km in length through which the river Mahanadi Flows
